This is an example of the Westside Circa Max squat phase 12 weeks out from a meet that I like to follow.

The band tensions used below are for someone squatting 700-900 lbs. If you squat 500-700 lbs. then use these bands per phase: Speed Strength Phase - (strong band + average band). Circa Max Phase - (strong band + light band). Speed Strength Phase - (average band). If you currently squat less than 500 lbs. I don't recommend trying this.

*Note on band tension. To achieve this much tension with the bands you have to choke them around a base that's atleast 4" x 4". So either use the monolift base legs or use some 4x4's and weigh them down with dumbells in your power rack.

Feb 9, 2006 7 – 53% for 5 sets of 2
Feb 16, 2006 8 – 47% for 5 sets of 2
Feb 23, 2006 9 – 45% for 8 sets of 2 (chains,no bands)

Mar 2, 2006 10 – 47% for 5 sets of 2
Mar 9, 2006 11 – 51% for 5 sets of 2
Mar 16, 2006 12 – 53% for 5 sets of 2
